Subject:  Cant find 4x4x12 block

I suggest you contact Schusters Building Products who can assist you with this product and they may very well manufacture a similar product. If not they will be able to point you in the right direction. Their website address is www.schusters.com

Although nobody in Indiana seems to sell/make them, we have about 30 concrete block that are 4" thick, and 12" x 12", so that the 4"x12" sides are all solid, and the 12"x12" side has holes through it in somewhat of a diamond shaped pattern. We need about 40 more. The pattern doesn't matter, but we are just using the 12"x12"x4" as a reasonably lightweight and rigid support for shelving using 2x6 lumber. Modular construction blocks are too big, anything solid would be too heavy and probably too expensive, yet the thought of making a bunch of 'boxes' out of 2x4 lumber and plywood isn't too appealing. 12"x12"x4" is just right, since the shelves are 12" deep and need to be 12" apart, and the 4" width is just enough to minimize any tipping tendency, yet not take up too much space.

Any ideas?
