Restoration of The Treasury Building... The Treasury Building of DC underwent a massive exterior restoration program, which was completed in late 2000. this was the largest scale restoration in ninety years. The main aim of the program was to carefully clean all of the granite, marble and sandstone surfaces and also to repair any damages in order to bring them back to their original appearance. Wherever needed, paving stones were re-set or re-laid, and cobble stone pavers were also repaired.
