hundreds of paving stones that have had signatures carved into them.
This is a great way for local residents and visitors to become part of the history of the state of Wyoming. Signatures are carved onto five inch by fourteen inch limestone paving stones. These paving stones are then added to the walkway around the grounds of The Sheridan Inn. The general cost to have your signature carved into a paving stone is about $300 with one line of text, and if you would like extra lines it is an additional $25 per line.
A new section of the walkway is paved with these carved paving stones each year, so to be a part of it, all you need to do is visit the Sheridan Inn, sign your name, message or date, and return it so that you stone will be carved as soon as possible. All the funds raised through the sale of carved paving stones will go to the Sheridan heritage Center, and all donations are tax deductible.

These limestone paving stones will last a lifetime for they are so durable and can withstand the harshest weather conditions. They are strong and will hold the carving forever. Not only are they durable paving stones, but limestone is also a very aesthetically appealing stone, which is sure to create a stunning walkway in honor of Buffalo Bill. |
The Sheridan Inn opened to the public in May of 1893, on 5th Street and Broadway, Sheridan, Wyoming. Not long after it opened its doors did Buffalo Bill Cody lease the building, and hire his Wild West Show performers from the front porch. Then in 1964 the Sheridan Inn was added to the list of National Historic Landmarks in Wyoming.
